Obeetee: Rekhta collection

The latest offering from Obeetee is the Rekhta collection comprising a limited edition of 15 rugs. The collection celebrates rich Mughal architectural carvings with motifs and patterns derived from these structures in ivory, green, silver and shades of blues.

The rugs are hand-woven using an authentic Turkish knotting technique that binds together the finest Afghan wool and recycled saree silk. The collection highlights the geometric, floral and rectilinear elements including pools, fountains, chandeliers and carved planters, and contemporary version of Persian and artistic impressions inspired by the splendour of animals, birds and trees.
