Iqrup + Ritz: Range of Bamboo and Cane Furniture

Iqrup + Ritz has announced their themes for 2019. With their Arts and Crafts movement, the brand will be collaborating with the North East for bamboo and cane furniture. They plan to work closely with master craftsmen of the region to create beautiful contemporary furniture and accessories.

Prominent pieces introduced so far in this range includes the Celyon cabinet, Lunar table, Jesmina charpai, the Oblique and Mor chairs, to name a few. Their Au Naturel theme honours traditional craftsmanship, simple forms and brings natural materials to centre stage. Here, subtle hand-polished finishes have been used to highlight the natural grains of the materials.

Three interesting pieces from this collection include: the Soma Shelf in Ashbrown which has a balance of both open shelving and closed storage; The Throne stools which take inspiration from Ashanti Stools of Ghana; and the Mira coffee table with three sculpted legs in solid acacia wood, and a hexagon-shaped top clad in marble. Memphis is a sass theme and comes in a black and white palette, interesting shapes and striking marble; while Lush uses velvet in their classic and contemporary sofas and armchairs.
