As part of the recently launched Urban Indian Nest collection, Divya Thakur has unveiled the Memsahib range of rugs and occasional tables. This line is a tribute to the women who love to play the perfect hostess. Divya takes cue from the oft-found white crocheted or knitted table cloths in Indian homes and designs her tables, in different shapes and sizes, using similar lattice work. The rugs on the other hand are a stark contrast to the pale tables… vivid hues take centre stage as she draws her inspiration from Islamic and Hindu philosophies and weaves symbols of love and spirituality. She uses high density, hand-tufted wool to create these geometric patterns that you can use on the floor, or even on the wall.
