ParkRoyal_on_Pickering_PressImage_Patrick_Bingham-Hall_2The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has selected 30 buildings to be visited by the RIBA awards committee this summer under consideration for the inaugural RIBA International Prize. These will be further whittled down to 20 of the best buildings, after which six finalists will be chosen and visited by the Grand Jury and then the winner will be announced in December 2016. The buildings, which range from a cultural center in Azerbaijan to a kindergarten in Vietnam, have been selected to compete for the prize that will go to the most significant and inspirational building of the year. Several of the world’s top architects including Foster + Partners, David Chipperfield Architects, Bjarke Ingels Group and Zaha Hadid Architects are included in the shortlist.
