Istituto Marangoni and Cappellini launch contest

Concorso DesignIstituto Marangoni and Cappellini have launched a design contest ‘Make It Odd (Take It Home)’ for young designers worldwide. This international creative ideas contest has invited participants to come up with some unconventional furniture, showcasing innovation in form, material or function. Graduates in product and industrial design, interior design or architecture, or sector professionals with relevant experience in the field will have until 23rd May, 2016, to register and send in their design proposal. The winner will receive a study bursary from Cappellini for a Masters in Italian Product & Furniture Design at the Istituto Marangoni School of Design in Milan, starting in October 2016. The projects will be judged by a team of Italian and international design professionals such as architects Paola Navone and  Ferruccio Laviani; Marco Sabetta (Central Director of External Relations for the Federlegno Arredo Group); Giulio Cappellini (architect, designer and art director for Cappellini, and also the Chairman of the panel). Also joining them at the panel are the school’s directors: Massimo Zanatta, Director of the Istituto Marangoni School of Design; and Cristina Morozzi, Director of Education for the Istituto Marangoni School of Design.
