GoWork launches India’s first set of sleeping pods

BlackRock backed co-working campus GoWork has launched India’s first set of sleeping pods in its Gurugram campus. With the launch of these pods, GoWork is trying to inculcate a walk to work culture where young professionals in the neighbouring offices and from within the GoWork community can book these pods and walk to work.

The 32 premium pods — 16 large and 16 small — comprises of an ergonomic mattresses, television sets with headphones and additional features like temperature control, Wi-Fi and digitised lockers where one can secure their belongings or valuables before hopping in for a nice snooze. The colour scheme and lighting of these pods have been designed specifically to induce relaxation and sleep. Inspired from spaceships and time machines, these pods are sound proof and are high on functionality. That said, GoWork will be soon launching an app to make bookings for these pods on an hourly as well as overnight basis. The pods are available at Rs 149 per hour.
