Stonex India and Forbes India have come together to present Forbes India Design Awards 2019 — a platform that recognizes extraordinary talent in the fields of architecture and interior design.

Covering a range of categories, the awards offer architects and interior designers a prestigious platform to communicate a shared vision for the future, from culturally integrated city skylines to sustainable urban communities. The judging panel comprises individuals that have shaped Indian architecture and design milieu consistently over the years.

Commenting on the need for such a platform, Gaurav Agrawal, CMD of Stonex India says, “Moving beyond the business of marbles and stones, Stonex India is also in the creative business, since architects and interior designers are our key stakeholders. India has a lot of talented design professionals, but we need to recognize and nurture them. That’s exactly why we partnered with Forbes India to establish a platform of this nature and scale. Such nationwide recognition will benefit not just a handful of designers but an entire generation, since the benchmark is raised higher from both an aesthetic and innovation standpoint.”

Adding to this, Manisha Natrajan from Network18 asserts, “Through the Forbes India Design Awards, we hope to discover and recognize emerging talent in architecture and interiors. We will acknowledge the immense good work being done in the fields of conservation and socially responsible architecture by some of India’s most innovative practices, which often do not receive enough attention or appreciation.”
